Our Program
In addition to the scholarship, the Reyes Scholarship Fund offers a Mentoring and Leadership Program. The Program aims to provide college-bound and college students with leadership and life skills necessary to thrive in a university environment.

Transition to College Retreat
Transition to College Retreat
In August, the Reyes Scholarship Fund hosts a retreat for new and returning scholars. The retreat aims to help first year college scholars plan for their academic year and build confidence as they prepare for their college journey. Scholars also establish a sense of community amongst the Reyes Scholars, a buddy system, and support from university professionals.
Transition to College Retreat
Higher Education Roundtable
Over the winter break, new and returning scholars are invited to participate in a roundtable to reflect on their fall semester. The roundtable gives students the opportunity to solicit advice from professionals in the higher education space, and to feel a sense of community as they pursue their goals.
Transition to College Retreat
EdTalks & Guest Speakers
Throughout the year, invited guest speakers will give recorded, webinar-style talks. The talks will aim to provide scholars with inspiring stories from college graduates and potential mentors, and to provide actionable takeaways that will help the scholars develop key skills for college and life beyond.

Mentor Pairings
During the Transition to College Retreat, scholars will be paired with a mentor, either a scholar or esteemed community member, to provide guidance throughout the scholars' college journeys.
